Access can be programmed with thousands of features so this is not a comprehensive list - but it will give you many ideas of features that could be incorporated into your database. A feature that will automatically assign the next customer number, next order number or any ID number that you normally assign manually.
Use a dropdown box on a form to look up and go to any record instantly.
Add a search box to a form. As you type into the search box matching results will automatically be displayed.
Radio
buttons can be placed above sub-forms to change the way the
data is sorted on viewers and other forms that you use to
find or update records.
These
are dropdowns with contents limited by what was selected in
a previous dropdown. Selecting an item in the first
dropdown limits what is available in the next dropdown.
Gives
you the ability to use you mouse and keyboard to pick and
choose multiple items from a list box, or to select all.
Combined with Date Range fields this is a great tool for
running reports.
Use filter tools to filter your columns on a datasheet and then save the filter to print a report or bring up later.
These are calculated fields that may be that require special code or queries to work like you expect.
Add a button that will unlock fields that you want to protect from users who accidently edit a record.
Require that a password be entered before a user is able to edit a field.
A feature that lets you use plus and minus keys to add to or subtract from numbers, or to increase or decrease dates.
Add a button to a form that will launch a webpage with a map showing your customers address.
Access asks for your confirmation before taking certain actions. Sometimes you find you need other special message boxes to open that Access does not have built in.
After typing into a files, automatically have the text converted to upper case, lower case or proper case.

Some forms, especially viewers, stay open all day long. This feature will refresh the data on the form automatically during the day.

Every
field in a table is FREE OF CHARGE as long as there is at
least one form or report showing that field from the table.
Any fields in a table which are not visible on at least one
form or report is an additional charge.
Force users to enter a password when the database opens. The database can then be setup to restrict access to some forms and reports based on who is logged in and to record who is making entries into the database.
